Committee ESG Sustainable Construction | Design using BIM and legislative monitoring

Join us for a meeting of the ESG Committee, where we will discuss the challenges of BIM and summarise the most important regulations in the ESG area.

Agenda of the meeting:

14.00 – 14.20 Legislative monitoring : summary of key regulations in the ESG area. The presentation will be hosted by Sandra Sekula-Barańska, counsel, Head of ESG & Environment Protection Department, Bird & Bird Szepietowski i wspólnicy sp.k.

14.20 – 15.15 Design in the BIM model (Building Information Modeling),

Building Information Modeling (BIM) is the holistic process of creating and managing information for a built asset. BIM integrates structured, multi-disciplinary data to produce a digital representation of an asset across its lifecycle, from planning and design to construction and operations.

During the meeting we will answer questions :

• what is BIM and how should it support projects and clients?
• why is BIM so important for construction projects and what can be gained from knowledge of the technology?
• what challenges does BIM present?
• what is the potential for using BIM in the area of ESG?

15.15 - 15.30 Networking

The BIM part of the meeting will be chaired by:

• Benoit Bordais, Managing Partner, SXD Poland.
• Jacek Boruc, Associate Director at Warbud SA, Member of the Board of the Polish branch of buildingSMART - an international organisation developing openBIM.

The metting will be held in English.
