Climate Committee: Corporate PPAs, legal and practical aspects

We invite you to a Climate Committee meeting on the legal and practical aspects of Corporate PPAs.

For many entrepreneurs, the cPPA is a solution that, on the one hand, responds to dynamically changing electricity prices and guarantees the origin of electricity and, on the other hand, is a tool to effectively decarbonise their own operations and strive for energy independence of the Polish economy. Signing a cPPA also strengthens brand image. There are still not many agreements of this type in Poland, but their popularity is steadily growing.

During the next CCIFP Climate Committee meeting, we will answer the most burning questions about PPAs, discussing their legal and practical aspects.

We will address the following topics:

• How can corporate off-taker source Renewable Energy in Poland ?
• What is a PPA ? what are the different PPA models  available on Polish market ?
• How do Physical and Virtual PPA work ? Which model is the most popular in Poland ? What are the main benefits for off-takers ?
• What is the minimum volume in GWh to make PPA attractive ?
• Expected time schedule for PPA execution: commercial negotiation, term sheet draft, contracts negotiation.

The meeting will be chaired by Antoine Mocachen, CEO and co-founder of Volta Polska, Piotr Dziwniel (Counsel) and Witold Szpek (Associate), members of the Energy and Natural Resources Practice team at the Dentons Warsaw office.
